What is the Cooling-Off Period?

Once you have taken out a funeral plan policy, from the date that it goes active, you have 31 days to cancel the policy and expect a full refund. This is called the Cooling-Off Period.

During this cooling-off period there must be no claims paid or pending.

Once cancelled, you will not be able to claim for any benefits because your cover will have stopped, effective from the start date. It would be as if your policy was never taken out.
